The recycling company, of Plasticos Escanero, has signed a collaboration agreement with the Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón (ITA) to investigate the production of biodegradable materials at its plant in Sariñena (Huesca).

As indicated by the manager of the company, Ángel Escanero, the ultimate goal is that the company realizes the extrusion of organic materials (wood, alfalfa, wheat straw, barley, rice and other crop residues) with which it will create other products for industrial applications.

Thus, the company will develop polymers with natural fibers encapsulated. In addition, the factory in the town of Huesca, has another research agreement with the Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CEDETI), for the viability of this project.

These agreements allow the company to count on a new factory and a team dedicated to extrusion research and development of biodegradable, of which will result the creation of 8 jobs initially, with the goal of reaching 15 seats when the facility operates at full capacity.
