The company Plasticos Escanero just started the construction of a new extrusion plant in Sariñena, which will involve an investment of 1, 8 million and will initially creat 10 workstations.
The new facility will covers 2,500 square meters and will start operating in September, it will produce WPC (wood plastic composite), ie a compound of plastic and wood in great demand in Europe. Specifically, the mixture contain 60% organic materials such as wood, wheat straw, rice or other crop residues obtained from the municipality of Sariñena, as stated by the manager of the company, Angel Escanero.
In a first phase, it is calculated an annual production of 2,500 tons of processed material (imitation wood). Of this estimated production, 70% will be sold in Europe. However, the new plant, located in the industrial area El Puyalón expects to suffer new extensions to reach 10,000 tons annually and 30 employees. Currently, Plasticos Escanero, which is dedicated to plastics recycling, the creation of feet of beds as well as profiles for companies such as Danone, Louis Vuitton and Coca-Cola has two plants, in Huesca and Sariñena. In total, the company counts on 40 employees and a turnover of 5.5 million a year.
