SARIÑENA.- The company Reciclados Escanero at Sariñena, is developing an innovative project for which he received significant support through the statement of investment interest that self he was awarded the Council of Government of Aragon. In addition, this project has a significant component of R & D (Research and Development) for which the company has signed agreements with research centers such as the Technological Institute of Aragon (ITA) and the Centre for Development Industrial Technology (CEDETI).
As reported by the company executive, Angel Escanero, the objective is that the plant achieves the extrusion of organic materials, wood, alfalfa, wheat straw, rice and other crop residues, so as to create Polimers using these natural fibers encapsulated. "This expansion realized in Sariñena is planned for the manufacture of this new process. It is, what is called WPC in Europe, a material like wood and is used for making floors of airports, such as Barcelona, pool coverings, furniture, ... Furthermore it is a 100% ecological and fungicide, as reported Escanero.
In addition, Reciclados Escanero owns the patent of these new materials which are developed with the help of the Technological Institute of Aragon (ITA). "The second part of the project is already planned, tests are being done at the laboratory in Belgium, since there are only two laboratories in Europe capable of doing these tests, and it is a biodegradable material which is subject to bacteria and can not let that 1% of waste, "says Escanero.
The agreements allow the company to count on a new factory and a team dedicated to extrusion research and development of biodegradable creating 10 jobs initially, with the aim to reach 15 when the installation work at full capacity. "At the moment we are enlarging the factory in Sariñena relying on an investment of 1.8 million euros, but in the future will be made an annual investment of 1.5 million euros, " said manager of Reciclados Escanero.
